Colorado Fence Association donates $17,000 fence to Project Angel Heart  in 2011

(Denver, CO) -- Each year, the Colorado Fence Association (CFA) provides worthy nonprofit organizations the materials and labor to build fences at no cost. CFA Vice President Jessie Miller announced earlier this year that Project Angel Heart, a Denver-based nonprofit whose mission is to provide life sustaining meals at no cost to those with life-threatening illnesses, would be their 2011 recipient. “Project Angel Heart was a perfect fit for the Colorado Fence Association’s efforts this year,” said Miller. “They are in the process of moving into a new facility and because their services are so crucial to so many in our community whose very lives depend on proper nutrition and sustenance, our board unanimously voted that they be the recipient of this year’s services.”

Since 1991, Project Angel Heart has delivered meals to men, women, and children coping with life-threatening illness, free of charge. Each week, Project Angel Heart delivers nutritious meals to nearly 800 men, women, and children in Colorado, battling illness. A team of professional chefs and dedicated volunteers freshly prepare each Project Angel Heart meal with healthy ingredient. Our volunteers and donors are the main ingredients in our recipe for hope. In 2010, Project Angel Heart volunteers contributed over 49,000 hours of service, which translated into 415,681 meals prepared and 1,886 clients served meals delivered with care and compassion. The fence is located at Project Angel Heart’s new facility at the southeast corner of 50th and Washington streets in Denver.
