About

Colorado Chapter of the American Fence Association

The Colorado Chapter of the American Fence Association, (CCAFA) is the local chapter of the

American Fence Association, (AFA). The CCAFA is comprised of fence contractors, suppliers,

retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers as well as other associated companies.

The CCAFA offers its members educational resources, a monthly newsletter with industry updates

and trainings, 4 chapter meetings a year, a holiday party, network opportunities at our annual golf

tournament, bocce ball tournament, clay shoot and more! We also offer a regional event every

other year where your employees are able to become certified in gate operation, become a

Certified Fence Professional and other certifications.

One of the many benefits of being a member is the Member Savings Program. This program can save you thousands.

Many of our members attend FenceTech every year. Next year it will be held in Phoenix, AZ. This is a great opportunity to be able to network, attend educational seminars, learn more about what the American Fence Association is doing for you, as well as connect with our Colorado chapter during our dinner.

In addition to our regular meetings, we also proudly participate in CCAFA Charity Event Projects. Just a few of the local projects we have earned national recognition are Dave Saunders Memorial Softball Fields at Columbine High School which won the “AFA Chapter Project of the Year”; also we have worked with the March of Dimes, Easter Seals, and a Battered Women’s Shelter. In 2016, Alternatives to Violence (ATV) was provided with a fence that was able to give their families the knowledge that they were relatively safe in their home. ATV has been serving southern Larimer County for over 33 years and aims to educate and empower victims, survivors and the community to break the cycle of violence by meeting their needs. These multidimensional needs include housing, emergency housing, basic needs, counseling, advocacy and other supportive services.

The CCAFA also puts on an annual CCAFA Golf Tournament in June sponsored by members and non-members alike to promote the CCAFA and help provide revenue for charity projects, education programs, scholarships, and so on. Every other year, this event coincides with the regional event. This is a fun opportunity to get to know other members.

Certainly last but not least, the CCAFA gets together for a well deserved Christmas Party in early December that always proves to be a ton of fun and very entertaining. This year we will be on December 2nd at TopGolf and hope you will be able to make it!

Purpose and Objectives of the CCAFA:

1. To establish, maintain, and raise high professional standards among the contractors and suppliers in our industry.

2. To provide the tools and information necessary to encourage sound business methods, efficiency, harmony, and cooperation between contractors so we can create healthy competition.

3. To oppose unfair trade practices and to promote and defend equitable labor practices within our industry.

4. To make membership in the CCAFA an assurance to the public of the skill, integrity, and accountability of its members, by requiring CCAFA members to establish and uphold honorable reputation on these fundamental points. Continuance of membership will be dependent upon the maintenance of reputation and upon fair dealings with its members, with the public and with their employees.

As a member of the CCAFA you will benefit greatly from being a part of an organization of people who share in like ideas, goals, and achievements, people who are here to help better themselves, their friends and coworkers. There is a wealth of information you gather just by simply socializing and conversing with other “Fence Professionals” in the same industry with the same challenge, experiences, and success. If you would like to know more about becoming a member or, if you just have questions, please feel free to contact us or join us at our next meeting:
